We currently offer a range of Maternity, Newborn and Milestone sessions. We have also been super excited to introduce our underwater sessions.
We recommend booking at least a month in advance. We occasionally have last minute spaces available, but obviously we can’t guarantee these.
We recommend booking in for when you are between 28 to 36 weeks along.
We aim to get our newborns in within the first 3 weeks after their arrival. During this time baby is super sleepy and flexible, which makes it easier to pose and move baby during the session. We do understand that it isn’t always possible to be out and about straight away, and are happy to work with older newborns (up to 6 weeks) with some slight adjustments.
As soon as you have decided you want to go ahead with a newborn session, get in touch and we’ll pencil you in for your due date. This secures your space even if baby arrives early, or is overdue. Once baby arrives get in touch as soon as you are able and we’ll make a solid date for our session. All newborn sessions start at 10am.
Our sessions are all inclusive, which means that each session price includes the session fee, use of our client wardrobe, and a set number of digital images. No additional purchases are required, although you are welcome to purchase additional digital images over what is included in your package. Prints, albums and canvases can be purchased as add-ons to any of our packages.
Our studio is set up to accommodate my newborns and their families. We have nappies, spill cloths, feeding pillow, snacks, tea/coffee etc. All you need to bring is yourselves and whatever baby is being fed with. I also recommend bringing snacks if you have any specific dietary requirements in your family. If you have an item that you would like included in your session, please let us know on booking so that I can work out how to include it in the session.
This is one of our most commonly asked questions, and the reason we started our client closet! We have a growing range of dresses for mamas as well as a small selection of men’s tops and simple newborn outfits available for each session. We also have a small selection of girls dresses (size dependent). Simply let us know if you would like to see what we have available.
Absolutely, we can organise hair and makeup for you with one of the amazing hair and makeup artists Northland has to offer. Or we can put you in touch with one directly if you prefer.
After our session, we aim to get a sneak peek to you within 24 hours. And then your selection gallery to you within 4 weeks.
